RHAPSODE
O muse, sing to me, of the mortals born but to perish, who now rush through life at such speed that they no longer wish to spend time reading a book or watching a film. Instead, they turn to short videos—like TikTok.
I copied a passage from the Homeric Hymn to Hermes onto a scroll, then drew over it. It’s faster to glance at an image than to read the poem—just as it's faster to watch a two-minute summary than to read the entire book.
At the end of the day, can we still sit around a fire, and listen to a story told by another human?
